Church hurt: a term use to describe hurt caused by other Christians. Where there is church hurt, there you will find the enemy. Sitting slyly in the corner, rubbing his hands together in delight with a glint of evil pleasure in his eyes relishing in the fact that God’s children are fighting…each other…and not him!
God’s Word is full of identity-affirming verses that will help keep our focus on who we truly are created to be. If we were aware of our “authentic identity”, we would understand the power of God within us.
If the enemy can misdirect our focus onto the people or circumstances around us as the source of our struggle, rather than clearly identifying him as the source of our problems, he can keep us distracted from our goals and purpose by keeping us fighting against them rather than against him.
