In our modern world, what relationship do you relate this to?
Definitely in my workplace. I think when we get frustrated with people we work with, it makes it much easier to do a wonderful job when we remember we are doing it as to the Lord. Sometimes when people are difficult – it’s easy to do a halfhearted job or leave more work for others, not be a team player, etc…
There are so many times I have to remind myself I am serving God and not man. Keeping focused on Him can be a challenge when we get frustrated or upset, especially at work. I pray you will find moments of praise and worship to re-focus and keep your eyes on the One who has placed you in that specific place for a ministry.
I’m going to try and carry index cards on me – so I can sneak off and read them when I need to!!!
index cards with verses….
That is a great idea. Not only will it help in those situations, but it will help you to memorize scripture, too! I used to carry cards in my purse, but when I started carrying a diaper bag I kind of stopped. Now they are grown adults and I should probably start doing that again.
