Welcome to the start of something brand new to the blog: Read-Worthy Weekend.

Several years ago, as I blogged through my cancer treatments, I stumbled upon a blog by Marie Ennis-O’Connor. Every Friday Marie would compile a list of blog posts and articles she had read throughout the week that inspired her and she wanted to share with her readers.

I so enjoyed finding new information and meeting new people I thought I would begin something similar here.

Each week I will have two categories of posts — blogs that I read faithfully every week and those that I find through several linkups I participate in.

I hope you will find some inspiration of your own and get connected to some new online friends.

I am excited to share with you my very first ‘read-worthy’ posts for your weekend:

* This week the blog community and faith community learned of the death of our dear sweet Kara Tippetts. If you have never ‘met’ Kara and her family, please take the time to visit her blog Mundane Faithfulness and read her book, The Hardest Peace. I promise her story will leave you changed and undone.

As a way to process our grief, many of her friends and readers have written blog posts throughout the week. To list them all would be a feat, because there are hundreds of them. I would like to share with you three that I really enjoyed this week, but I encourage you to research the internet and find them all; because each one is filled with such love that Kara left behind in the hearts of those of us that love her. You can read my blog post, Hard Is Not The Absence of God’s Goodness
